About Me

So I finally sat down and made this site. I've been wanting to do it for a long time but getting the motivation to do it is oddly rather difficult! Starting out is hard. Deciding what layouts, what exactly I want in said layout. After fiddling with several I finally found the Altimit Layout, which seems just perfect for the About me and the Blog page. Looks extremely easy to make blog post! But I love the chaos of older Geocities sites, so I figured the about me and the blog will keep the Altimit layout and I'll hopefully be able to find a template that's pure chaotic for other things!

What do I want to add to the other pages? I HAVE NO IDEA

Maybe a page for each Obsession of mine? I'll need to find layouts because I'm completely hopeless at HTML. I want to spam gifs all over, bright 90s colors. Instead of the sterileness of the current webdesign.

In other news, I start my new job tomorrow, IF I get called. That's the thing about being a Teacher on Call! I have a lot of stories to tell about my older workplace. But i'm excited to start this new path of mine. Am i nervous as hell? SURE AM

I ended up reformatting this old laptop someone donated to a store because it was password locked, I'm more comfortable sitting on the sofa watching TV instead of being downstairs on my computer, so this works with working on my site!

I had my first day of work this past Friday, it was pretty interesting, first thing that happened when I walked into the office was the Principle telling me that I'll be getting put with the toughest kid for half the day who thrives on connections. And honestly? He was stubborn but he was a sweetheart, all the kids were! I believe it was a 2nd grade class? I sat on the Educational Assistant Desk and when all the kids came in they swarmed me asking me questions. IT was cute!

It was a french class, but the teacher allowed the kids to speak English with me since I don't know any French. I wore a Pokemon shirt just to try and connect with the kids and it worked! Through the morning they kept showing me what they were drawing, painting, or asking me if I played any games it was so cute. Even this Very Tough Kid told me that he wished I was his EA. The teacher said the same and said it was a shame that I didn't know french because he connected with me pretty fast!

Whoops, I've been busy, and by busy i mean just extremely worn out, and what do you know it's NOVEMBER already

Work was a bit slow at the start of the school year, little panic, ended up subbing at a Catholic school and I did not like it at all. It's not welcoming at all and I wasn't a fan of how they treated the kids there! But works picking up more and I've been getting decent days per week, the full 5 days is exhausting and I haven't managed that yet, but I'm trying to stick to at least 4 days a week and take advantage of the fact that my current job allows that flexibility!

It was my husband and my 2nd anniversary a few days ago, on the 10th. We spend most of the week down in Vancouver and we walked so freaking much! I'm still feeling sore and exhausted, but it was really fun, we visisted so many places, ate delicious food. Here's to so many more years together!I honestly can't believe we been married for 2 years already, together for...around 4ish? It honestly feels like I'm having a dream that's way to good to be true and I'll wake up at any second. What did I ever deserve for this amazing man to fall in love with me????

Can't believe it's almost the end of the year, just a few more weeks, Got 5 weeks of work before Christmas break happens. I have a few ideas of what I want to get my husband for Christmas, let's hope I get enough days of work! (I get paid by the day) I still need to make a personal list of what I want, and I'm not to sure, maybe some board games? I do want a gift card for the tattoo place, Slowly getting that Johto Sleeve, next one is Cyndaquil who just needs to be colored in. I'll end up showing them here eventually!
